2025 Recap and 2026 Beginnings! from Janet Ann Creations

We never really think we accomplish much - until we actually look!

At least that is how I usually feel!

In reviewing all of my photos it looks like 2025 was the year to finish a few longterm projects for two guild shows. The Rhododendron Quilt show was in April and the Silver City Quilt show was in September.  


At the Rhododendron Quilt show "Garden Party Down Under" (pattern by Irene Black) received a second place ribbon and "Tilda's Delight" (pattern Afternoon Delight by Sue Garmen) received a first place ribbon and the Viewers Best of Show ribbon!

Do You Really Rest on a Quilt Retreat? from HummingBird Quilter

I just returned from the Thumbstall Quilt Guild annual retreat at the Watson Homestead http://www.watsonhomestead.com/ in Painted Post NY and was greeted by a friend with, “You look so rested!!” Rested – I don’t think so…. I came home exhausted but rejuvenated at the same time.

It’s an extended weekend that I look forward to as soon as we leave the current weekend. Friendships are nourished by quilting retreats. A weekend quilting retreat is full of laughter and being able to actually talk to with my quilting friends. We normally see each other about once a ...
